The history of our planning laws

At late notice, and proving to everyone his knowledge of the subject, David Watling of Architectural Design & Construction in Winslow combined the 5 and 10 minute talks this week.

Explaining the history of planning law, which came into force to oversee the swathes of redevelopment needed after the war, David’s talk was not only interesting, it provoked a lot of discussion on the subject itself, and also the impact of planning law & its interpretation locally and nationally.

There was also a good discussion on the management required to organise the D-Day landings, and what this can teach us in our everyday business.

And it was not only an interesting morning, there were also 12 referals, and a number of testimonials for the great food provided by Toni Forestrio of Barringtons Cafe.
