At this morning’s meeting, Bedford solicitor Martin Addrison of HilliersHRW did the “infomercial slot” on London Restaurant “Dans Le Noir”, who’s specialism is serving diners in a pitch black setting.  Waiters are all blind or partially sighted, and the absence of light is intended to make you focus more on the taste of the food, and the conversation, rather than be distracted by the visual stimulation of ‘normal’ dining experiences.

As Martin also pointed out, it makes for a profitable business model – no need to make the food look fancy, buy nice chairs or even decorate the walls…!
