So good to see everyone, despite us adapting quickly to ‘Zoom’ and supporting each other throughout this difficult time for us running small businesses. We are mostly sole-traders and the ability to engage with each other on the back of long term relationships now is more valuable than ever.
After a hearty breakfast we had the ten-minute presentation from our IFA ‘Chair’ about a bespoke investment package he has put together for his clients, in conjunction with a discretionary fund manager. The 5-minute ‘education slot was given by Steve Leverton, who gave a presentation on the history of the shipping container and how it has contributed to globalisation of trade. An obscure subject for a ‘man of finance’ but fascinating none-the-less
