Get it covered

The first spring meeting of the LBBC was the usual lively, funny and refreshing affair at the Duke’s Head in Heath and Reach, accompanied with a hearty breakfast and lashings of coffee and fruit juice. Worth getting up for.

Steve Baker of SB Financial gave us a ten minute scamper through the various forms of Life Cover available, introducing us to terms such as Whole Life, Term Assurance and Level Cover. It was one of those presentations that made this writer think that it is a complex subject and should only be dealt with by a qualified IFA. Good job Steve Baker was talking to us then.

The five minutes was by Keith Rawlings (me!) who waxed lyrical about the frustrations and comedy involved when parents interact with technology. Not quite as emotional as the John Lewis Christmas advertising campaign, but it had its poignant moments.

In between we were entertained by a series of one minute presentations by the member summing up the previous seven days and, where necessary offering advice as well as asking for it.
