After two weeks where the weather on a Wednesday morning prevented the group’s attendance, we finally made it to the first meeting of 2009.

The LBBC’s charter sets aside this meeting for our Annual General Meeting, where a major theme of discussion was getting new members, visitors & guest speakers along. We’re a friendly group that isn’t into high-pressure tactics to bring a high volume of referrals – instead we’re focused on good quality referrals & sustaining a supportive atmosphere, week in week out.

We also use the AGM to elect the Chair, Treasurer & Secretary. Thanks to their sterling efforts to date, we unanimously agreed to keep Steve Baker (IFA) as Chair, Lisa Mason (NatWest) as Treasurer and Toni Forestiero (Barrington’s Cafe) as Secretary.

And, in spite of the recent inclement weather, we still came through with 7 good-quality referrals for members.
