On Wednesday Dec 2, we had another lively and interesting meeting with banter as well as business – and a good number of referrals and testimonials
5 minutes:
I talked about a book I had recently read: Twitter Means Business: How microblogging can help or hurt your company, Julio Ojeda-Zapata, happyabout info, 2008
Twitter is a free social networking and micro-blogging service that enables its users to send and read messages known as “tweets” which are text based posts of up to 140 characters which are delivered to the author’s subscribers who are known as “followers”.
Twitter has become a popular way of socialising via PCs and phone text messaging. Since its creation in 2006 it has become one of the 50 most popular websites worldwide. Barack Obama and Stephen Fry to name but two are huge fans of Twitter.
But companies are now taking an interest too; it is not just about frivolous chatting. People tweet about anything – and that includes products and services they use. And they are quick to point out any negative aspects they experience, so the author says it is worthwhile having a look at social media.

Simon Kennedy talked to us about his company Auditel who can help your business save money on products and services such as telecommunications, energy, stationery, dry goods etc. He would make a detailed analysis of aspects of your business assessing costs and needs and present you with his findings.
For example, even if a company has the facility to print themselves, there are times when it would work out cheaper to outsource a printing project than to do it in-house.
By paying attention to all the different parts of your business, and by looking at your overheads, Auditel can help you with cost management and save money eg 21% average per year. So to find out how you can cut costs please contact Simon Kennedy, Auditel – 01525 240704
